Plump Baby Boys

Today, I had to go to the doctors.
I had to go because I'm going to Vanuautu, and I had to see what injections and tablets the doctor would recommend.
The doctor didn't have one of the injections I needed so he said he'd order it, there were a few he wasn't certain if I needed, but I got one.
I hadn't had an injection since I was about five, so I was a bit worried.
It was okay though, it hurt a little bit, and it bled so he got tissues and put pressure on it and cleaned it with the tissue.

Sorry for that boring story.

Not the best day for me.

Oh well.

Baa.

I miss Bee and Cat.

Piano Blasting Burrows

Hello again

I am bored and procrastinating to the extreme about my homework so I thought I would write a quick blog.

Well today, you see, was a very good day for me. We had a sasauge sizzle at school (yum) and i had some great classes (esphasis on the 'some'). Music class was good because we started working on the lyrics for our songs that we are writing. I decided to write a ballad style song about my feelings of confusion during a decision I had to make in the not so distant past which made it very easy. Also, some boys threw waterbombs at us at lunch.

Well, I've got to go to dinner now before netball training so goodbye

Phoebe :)

Poking Butter Blobs

Hellooooooo :)
I am sincerely sorry that I have not posted a blog in ages. You see i have been to Fiji *scream of excitement* and busy with school work and friend drama and yada yada.....

Well, where do I start. Well Fiji was amazing period. Imagina hot, but not too hot, weather, palm trees everywhere you look (literally), blue sky, ocean with dozens of islands and friendly locals. In Fijian 'bula' is their version of hello/welcome, so everywhere you go, anytime you see someone or happen to stare at someone for too long, you break the ice by saying bula and giving a beautiful smile. Some of my advertures in Fiji included parasailing - which was ace by the way -, snorkling on South Sea Island which is the most b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. thing i have ever seen (the island was tiny made out of coral, so when you're coming out of the warm ocean, before you step on sand there are dried up pieces of coral everywhere which was amazing) and staying at the five star Hilton hotel. Yes, i have been bragging about that to just about EVERYONE.

Now for other news; in netball *drum roll please* WE FINALLY ONE A GAME!!!!! YAY! It was our first game of the year (yes, how very sad) so everyone was very excited - especially me and Cat. The hilarious thing was though that this team (in Cat's words) were the 'devil's team'. They would elbow and push us at every oppourtunity, even swearing in front of us in front of the umpires which did not do anything!! Yes I am overreacting but I am in an overreacting mood today.

Also, just recently I have fell in love with a new band called 'All Time Low'. I peticularly love their songs 'Stella', 'Six Feet Under The Stars' and 'Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)'. Check it out.

Now for some completley random jokes:
-A dog walked into a bar and said "Can you give me a beer and chips thanks," and the bartender said "Wow! A talking dog! You should join the circus or something." Then the dog said "Why, do they need an electrician?" (no, that is not supposed to make sense)

-What did the first rock say to the second rock?
Nothing, rocks can't talk.
What did the second rock say to the first rock?
"Hi, I'm a magical talking rock!"
(this joke is from no other than Cat :D )

Well, ta ta for now

Phoebe :)

Pretty Blue Buttons

Sorry for not posting very often.
At least I haven't been as slack as B!
How has your weekend been?
Mine was okay.
Yesterday, we beat the top team in netball.
I had drama afterwards and we got professional photos taken for the program.
Our performances are in December, before I know at they will be here and I won't know all my lines.
Today, I didn't do much.
Chores for my family.
I made cookies.
:)
Life is not very interesting for me at the moment.
Sorry for this lousy post.

Peeling Broken Bones

Why hello everyone :)
I'm terribly sorry we haven't posted in a long long time.
It's a busy time, the start of school
Every moment I'm not at school or doing homework or music practise I crash.
(into a pile of tired, crumbled Cat remains. Gruesome.)
School is very confronting when you've just adjusted to rest.
I'm doing robotics this term, instead of IT essentials. Ick. I don't know which is worse.
I hate to be one of those people who ignorantly complains about a subject.
But seriously.
It's not like you're doing anything on your own, you just read instructions the whole time.
And when will I ever need to build a robot?
(Although another part of me says: "They're creating an army of super villains. The robots will be our henchmen. Duh.")
For the rest of you Melbourne folk, how has the start of school been for you?
If your answer is good...I have nothing to say to that. My brain cannot fathom it.
If you're one of those lucky ducks who's on holidays at the moment, beware.
I have built a body switch robot in robotics. My henchman of choice.

Persion Birthday Blues

Iam on the phone to Lauren and she is utterly amazing.
She told me not to write that, but you know what? I'm going to anyway. You wish you were as rebel as me.
So the terrible but inevitable has happened: school is back. A sarcastic "Hurrah" all round.
I always waste my holidays and weekends watching TV and don't do anything interesting. It was nice and relaxing though.
The worst bit is that daylight savings started yesterday/two nights ago, so when I got up an 6:45 for the first time in two weeks, it felt like 5:45. *Shudder*.
Of course the good thing about first day back is seeing your wonderful freindsies again. Also you usually don't get much homework. An unsarcastic "Hurrah" for that!

Some very exciting things happened towards the end of the holidays.
On Saturday (a fabulous day if ever there was one) my sister's friend had a garage sale that she helped out with.
There I was, innocently dropping off my sister at the gate, and there it was, like fate.
A beautiful, vintage, magenta coloured typewriter. Glorious, it was, glorious.
At first I left it, and my mum and I went off to visit my grandma, but as I sat, drinking coffee, I heard the typewriter, calling to me.
Not literally, because I'm sane, but I really wanted this typewriter.
So I called my sister and told her to hide the typewriter ("NOW!" I screamed) so that no one would find it.
So out went my mother later that day- over the hills and far away- to pick up my sister from the garage sale.
There I sat, anxiously on the couch, not moving a muscle until I heard the noise of the keys in the door and in they walked: Mum, my sister and Susand (that's what I named the typewriter).
I'm so happy right now!

Peaceful Boring Bonus

There is nothing quite like going to big second hand shops and trying on ugly clothes.
That's what Loz, Mia, Liz and I did today. Indeed.
It was a day filled with baggy fluoro 70's thing, floor length denim things and fairy-floss night gown things.
Now that's attractive.
The original reason for going to "Savers" (the second hand shop in question), was for costumes for a party Mia, Loz and Liz are going to (I don't know the person throwing it).
No one bought a costume though, we all just tried on ugly things. It was much fun.
We also shared half a cheescake from the Cheesecake Shop. Yummy scrumboes in epic proportion.
We ate it on the grass next to the bike path in the middle of St. Georges Road. It was a nice sunny day for once.
When we were finished eating we made a laughing circle. My suggestion, of course!
In case you don't know what a laughing circle is (which you probably don't), let me explain:
Everyone lies down with their heads on each other's stomachs until it links into a circle.
Then you start laughing.
Due to the movement of each others stomachs, the laughter is really infectious. FUN!

These holidays have been very restful, in the best way.
I've been chilling out at home for the most part.
On Friday, my friend (who is back from a holiday in ITALY(!!!)) and I are going to the museum.
We're too cool for you.
It's basically because the museum is free for under 18s. So why not, right?
Bright flashy lights and colourful displays galore!

Pasta Being Beneficial

I think relaxing is underrated.
I mean, sitting around doing whatever takes your fancy at a leisurely pace, at home.
It really doesn't get much better than that.
Today was a bit like that. Sadly, Dad would not let us watch TV. We do watch far too much. Instead I read the mags I got at the show. I've stopped reading Girlfriend and Dolly. Too trashy.
But I got three issues of Girlfriend at the show and thought "What the hell, I'll read them.".
Dools is a very funny man. When I did read Girlfriend (earlier this year), his Q and A bit was the highlight of the whole magazine.
I've also been eating a lot of lollies from the show. I am going to be a very large girl. I'll buy a treadmill.
One of my favourite things to do on relaxy days is make pasta. I didn't today though.
I love how easy penne pasta is to make and how much it warms you up on a cold rainy day when you're wet from walking home. Especially when it's covered in melty cheese. Mmmmm.
I'm hungry.

Participation Because (of) Boredom

Yesterday there was the AFL grand final, which is a big moment in the year for all Aussies, especially Victorians.
I go for Carlton, so I didn't particularly mind who won.
I was sort of cheering for St. Kilda because they haven't won in so long and they were undefeated for ages this season.
They lost, and Nick Riewoldt was crying at the end. I felt so bad for them.
But I would have felt bad for whichever team that lost.
They have worked for this their whole year, they come so close, and yet they fail.
:(
But I guess you can be happy for the winners because it's the opposite.
Mm... my family had a barbeque for the final yesterday. It made me feel cool and Australian.
Not much makes me feel Australian.
Haha.

Today my friend Mia and I went on an attempter Puddle Jumping Adventure.
We miss when we were little and would splash around and get really dirty and nobody cared.
We also both have gumboots.
Unfortunately, despite our rain dance and other efforts, it refused to rain, and there were not many puddles.
But, we did find one court place that had rather big puddles, and then we found a creek and decided to walk through it.
We got soaked up to our waists, it was quite funny. But after a while we got cold and went back to my place, and then got hot chips.
There's nothing better than hot chips, when you're freezing.
Except perhaps a hot chocolate.
Also, my dog was with us when we went exploring the creek, and it was her first ever swimming lesson.
She didn't seem to like it that much, but she was adorable.
:)

Today was a good day.

Paisely Bacon Balls

Today I went to...(Drum roll) The Royal Melbourne Show! I know, I know, I am no longer a 5 year old. I have matured a lot since then, honestly I have. However, my love for The Show has not deteriorated even one little bit. All holidays I've been counting down the days, hours, minutes and indeed seconds until I could walk through the gates of The Show and see the colourful...ness of it all. And die of pleasure. Today, that moment came. Although (clearly) I did not liquefy into a puddle of joy on the floor, it was pretty damn great.
In the Ats, Crafts and Cookery Pavilion I headed straight to the cake decorating stand, where three lovely ladies gave me a pink decorated cookie. And...(drum roll) I milked a cow. I'm so impressive and farm-y and animal-y. *cough*. I also bought a lot of show bags. I didn't end up going on many rides, as the first two I went on weren't a good combination. I was queasy for a while. But I've made a full recovery. Don't fret :)
Hooray for the Show!

Wow! We actually got a comment! Or two! My very first ever.
:D
Haha.
Anyway, the point of this particular post is to promote my sister's blog, which she started rather recently.
I'm the topic of quite a few of her posts, which is rather... odd.
But anyway, just thought I'd give you the link in case you wanted to check it out.
Enjoy!

Plastic Bound Books

I am really sorry we haven't been posting. Actual comments from actual people have inspired us to actually get this blog off the ground. The holidays have been distracting, I guess that's why we've been absent. I'm going to The Royal Melbourne Show tomorrow and I am sooo excited. I'm like a three year old in that sense: I LOVE the Show. I've been every single year I can remember except for last year, when I was overseas. I can't wait for: show bags, rides, samples, lame police/fireman presentations, free crafty things, elmo, animals and basically everything else that goes with the show.
To update you to my(uber-lame) Bubble Struggle adventures, I beat level 45! Hurah! I'm now on level 58 and my sister's STILL stuck on 45, proving once again how much awesomer I am than her in every single way. Not to be nasty. But I win at life.
On Tuesday, my friend and I were in la citta and we went to Sticky. I case you don't know it, it's a store that sells heaps and heaps of zines (ie. little magazines that anyone can make). My friend found a super cool one called "Plastic Knife", so she bought Issue 1 and I bought the second. It's filled with random paragraphs of strange writing. For example:
"I have no interest in insects. However, I must concede, that Jewel Beetles have a reasonably well-developed power of sight in a short range."
Seriously, how cool is that. The best thing about zines is that often they're all individually detailed. For example, the second issue of "Plastic Knife" has a plastic knife stuck in the front. It has o be separately stuck on each copy. It's nice. Also, it was only three dollars. Affordability is always a plus. Anyway, I'm off now, and remember: It ain't simple to be cool, but it's cool to be simple ("The Boat That Rocked"),

Project Blue Book

Holidays!
Yayyyy!
Just thought I better write seeing as there is a reason to celebrate!
XD
Haha.
Also, Bee, is going to Fiji!
Lucky her!
She refuses to pack me in her suitcase!
I shall miss her so.
Double also, my calisthenics team won overall in our second competition this year!
What's more, Alison, a girl in our team was in France, so we lost points for not having enough girls, and we still won!
:D
And today I went to the Seniors from our clubs' competition, and they won!
XD
By the way, calisthenics is sort of a mix of gymnastics and dance, and even some drama ish stuff.
If you still are confuzzled, LOOK IT UP!
:)
That's all for now.

Pink (and) Blue Babies

I too apologise for not having written much.
I've been on a bit of a ban from the computer as my room was too messy.
It isn't my fault I'm such a disorganise person.
Anyway, it's tidy (ish) now.
Haha, I would also beg to differ Bee, (that NCIS is the best T.V. show). That would go to Gilmore Girls.
And if not, it would go to One Tree Hill.
I looove those two telivision shows.
I don't normally watch much T.V. but these are exceptions. :)
Nutella is fantastic. Though, my mother sadly does not buy it for me.
So if ever you are stumped on what to get me for a present ;) buy me Nutella!
Cat, do you like Nutella?
If so I think we should somehow make up some PBB ritual including Nutella. ;)
Lucky Bee is going to Fiji these holidays! I want to go to Fiji! I only found this out because Cat was talking about how we wouldn't be able to PBB this month.
How. Apalling.
I'm soooo out of it now that I'm not in their netball team. :'(
Mmm... I love photography.
As long as you aren't addicted to Farmville, Cat, it is allll goood. :D
HOW WAS YOUR MUSIC EXAM CAT???
And Adelaide better win!
If Collingwood win the premiership, I shall dieeee.
I love markets.
For my weekend...
Well, today I had netball. We won. By quite a bit. So that's good.
I'm in D1 now and they're all so good. I've gone from being an average player (on my last team( to worst on the team (on my new team), if that makes sense, so even though I'm in a higher division (happy thoughts), I suck (sad thoughts.)
I really need to work on my passes. And catches. And everything I guess.
Then I came home, had a shower and lunch and went to drama.
It was funny. :)
Tomorrow I have a calisthenics comp.
We get cakefaced, in leotards and prance around the stage.
Don't get me wrong, it is super fun, but tomorrow our competition is at 9 am. Which means that I shall have to get there at 8 30 which means I shall have to leave at 8. Which means I shall have to leave early.
And one of the girls in our team, Alison, is off to France, so we shall lose points for not having enough people.
Oh wellllllllll.
1 week til holidays! HURRAH!

Playing Bubble Bursting

Wow. We really haven't posted much. My sincere apologies. The problem is that I have an addiction and it sucks up all of my time: Bubble Struggle 2: Rebubbled. A few weeks ago I started playing and I haven't been able to stop since. I'm up to level 45 and I can't beat it. I swear to blog, it's impossible. The aim of the game is to burst all the bubbles in the time limit, but there are so many in this level, I don't have a hope. Anyway here I am now, posting. Happy Saturday everybody, may the weekend treat you well! I've got a good one planned: music exam (in about three and a half hours), footy tonight (Go Pies!) and I'm going to a market in Docklands tomorrow! I found a very nice photographer on Flickr: i.Anton. Check it out. Here's a sample:
Pretty, no?

Pickles Buying Bread

Hello out thereeeeee!

I feel very behind at the moment considering I've only written one blog compared to the others so I thought I should do one.
But before I start I would just like to say that yes - lauren is so right - lisa. mitchell. rocks.
Seriously, go get her album.
Anyway, back to my point,
I am a crazily obsessed person - my addiction, NCIS.
It is by far the best tv show around (although Cat will beg to differ with Gilmore Girls).
But honestly it is the only crime show I know (and trust me, I know crime shows) where the characters actually have a personality. I mean I love you Law and Order but show me some emotion for once!!!!!
NCIS is the perfect show for any occasion - it's a drama, comedy, crime, possibly even a romance lurking in there somewhere.... *hint hint*

I also like nutella.

Anyway, go and watch NCIS.
now.

Well, I'm off,

au revoir

Partying Broadway Bitches

I think I've found The. Coolest. Thing. On. The. Internet. Seriously. It's a lovely/awesome/crazy/hyper website you may know called: Angry Alien. Now if you've never heard of it you're probably thinking "What the blog?". Let me assure you it's not what it seems. It's so much more than that. Angry Alien Productions create thirty second cartoon remakes of films. It's both hilarious and impressive that these films have been shrunk to such a level. My favourite is The Rocky Horror Show. Mainly because it's one of my favourite movies. You've gotsta check it out.

Pandas Baptized Bob

Lisa Mitchell is, to put it simply, a gun.
Her voice is amazing!
I bought her C.D. on iTunes and I am in love with it.
My favourites I think are Coin Laundry and Neapolitan dreams, which I guess isn't that original of me, but they are simply fabulous! ;)
Anyway, she has a great voice and her music video for coin laundry (and probably the others but I haven't watched them) is vair cute. :)
Point is; she is great, and if you haven't listened to her, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!???

Provider Backbone Bridges.

I know that this is an amazingly boring subject, but isn't homework so fascinating.
I don't necissarily mean that in a good way.
Most kids hate it, detest it, and put it off as much as they can.
I am a number one procrastinator but putting off homework doesn't actually make me feel that good. I always know it's sitting there in the background, waiting to pounce.
Doing homework generally actually makes me feel satisfied (when I'm finished at least) although I never tend to do it much. You'd think the satisfaction would make it more appealing, but it doesn't.
Homework is just annoying.
Isn't that why we go to school? So we don't have to do work at home...
It doesn't make sense.
ARGH!
Haha, sorry, I'm just a tad psycho and of course, putting off doing homework.
I am sooo behind.
I need to do a whole chapter of maths, a story for English, an essay for geoggers, a project for jewelry. Wow, I really do suck eggs.
Now that I've bored you to sleep, I shall leave.
Cat or Bee, please delete this?

Plushy Bean Bags

Hello out there!
Following Loz's AWESOME blog :D, I cant help but think you're wondering what PBB or Purple Big Brains really stands for...
Well you see, on our first sleepover we watched a movie which shall remain secret and found a part really funny and decided to give ourselves the name of what they were doing.
No one but us know what the real PBB stands for but when people ask we come up with something random like:
~Purple Big Brains
~Plushy Bean Bags
~People But Beautiful
and many more

.....so, yeah.
I'm sorry this isnt as interesting as Laurens.

'au revoir'
Bee xx

Purple Big Brains

Well, I have been assigned the job of writing the first blog.
Oh my, the expectations are high.
Oh golly, that ryhmed!
Anywho, you're probably wondering who we are?
Well, perhaps not, but you shall just have to sit through an explanation anyway.
Either that or stop reading and go and be boring elsewhere.
This blog, Purple Big Brains, is put together by three rather random girls.
I don't exactly know what to write but Cat said "we started this to be random etc" so I guess that is true.
We are three girls, Cat, Bee and Loz (or Catherine, Phoebe and Lauren).
(I Am Lauren.)
We are quite amazing, I must say.
We started this blog because I nearly invited Cat to be an author for a blog I am writing for school (about plastic bags, how fascinating) and then we thought,
'Hey, how cool? A joint blog! Let us do it with Phoebe."
I'm sure that is exactly what we said. ;)
We met through netball. Well, Cat and I already knew each other from primary school, but we met Bee in netball. Sadly, I am not in their team anymore, so sadly I don't see them as often, but we are still at the same club so we still see each other at club shindigs.
I've probably scared everyone off by now, so I'll leave it to Cat or Bee, to make you fall in love with us.
;)
Love Loz
